Car hits two Framingham motorcycle officers December 1, 2011

FRAMINGHAM - A car struck two police motorcycles near the intersection of Summer and Fenwick streets at about 6 p.m., police said.

According to Lt. Ron Brandolini, the officers were traveling on Central Street, turned onto Summer Street and were hit by a car that pulled out onto Summer Street from Fenwick Street.

The car hit the first bike, which in turn pushed over the second one, police said.

The police officer on the first bike was taken to MetroWest Medical Center with a minor leg injury, Brandolini said. The other officer was not brought to the hospital, he said.

The incident is still under investigation and police had no further information.

Five separate cruisers and the FFD responded to the accident.

How fast were the officers going when they took that turn onto Summer Street.
Anyone turning onto Summer Street from Fenwick doesn't have much time
to respond if they were exceeding the speed limit.
