The Framingham police thrive economically on traffic detail work,
to the point that about 75% of police work is traffic detail work.
This is not police work. They become
traffic resource officers (TROs)
much like the Framingham police working the high/middle schools are
school resource officers (SROs).
The work of a traffic resource officer requires a sixth grade education to do the job correctly.
