Motorcycle officer hit by car in Framingham August 2, 2012

FRAMINGHAM -- A Framingham Police officer was traveling south on Concord Street around 3:45 p.m. when he was broadsided by a car, authorities said.

Officer Ken Blass was taken to the MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham to be treated for what appeared to be minor injuries, Deputy Police Chief Ken Ferguson said.

"Preliminarily, it looks like he's OK," said Ferguson. "He's doing OK. He's got a little road rash."

The cause of the accident is being investigated and Framingham Police photographers are taking photos at the scene. The motorcycle was towed from the accident scene, which occurred in front of the Dunkin' Donuts at 266 Concord St..
